Java Plug-In Questions
Help!
I can't get any game to load!
The most probable reason that this happened is that Java
is either out of date, or not installed at all. Although Java
is not preinstalled on some computers, it is free and easy to
install.
Click here to download the Java installer.
You will need to restart your preferred browser after installing
Java for the changed to take effect.
For Windows users, if installing Java doesn't seen to
have fixed the problem, open the Control Panel, and in list
view, click "Java". Click the "Advanced"
tab, then find "Default Java for Browsers." Ensure
that all available options under this menu are checked, then
click Apply. Restart your computer, and try playing games on
VirtualSuperNES again.
General Game Questions
Why are
some games only listed in grey and not selectable?
VirtualSuperNES.com is only able to provide our users with games
that we have the original cartridge of in the Emulation Collective
library. Although we have acquired over 40% of the Super Nintendo
games released in North America, we do not yet have all of them.
Until we have acquired all of the games released in North America,
some will continue to be listed in grey.
Most of the games in the Emulation Collective library were
donated by Players Like You™. If you have games to donate
for any system, please click here.
Why
aren't all of the games from all of the regions listed, even if
they would only be in grey?
Emulation Collective is based in North America and caters
to a primarily English-speaking audience, and as such, our first
priority is on games released here. As we are funded primarily
by user donations, we have limited resources. To conserve resources,
and to keep our website less cluttered, we do not collect games
from PAL regions that were also released in the United States.
Games released in Japan are only listed in the event that
Emulation Collective acquires those games. There are over one
thousand Super Nintendo games released in Japan, and considering the
cost and difficulty of importing games from Japan, combined
with our relative lack of resources, we do not anticipate our
collection of Japanese games will reach 100%.
